I'm going to school!!!!!!!

Ok, here's the deal...I didn't think that I would be able to go to college this semester. I thought I needed my parents' taz information. Well, mom and dad didn't get their taxes done until the end of july. I didn't get my FAFSA in or anything. Then I decide I would go this semester no matter what. I got my FAFSA done and I was enrolled in school at Greenville College. I wanted to go to school there last year, but it was Tina's freshman year there and she didn't want me to go to school there when she did. Well, she had a bad experience there and now she is glad to have me going to school there with her.

I would like to actually live on campus while I go there, but with my full-time job it would be more expensive. The perfect situation would be if I were to get the apartment under the CILA, but I don't think that will work out. I have asked my boses many times, but they are wanting to put a client there so they can make money off of it. Once another person is hired on at the CILA, my schedule will be changing. I will be working every saturday and sunday from 1pm to 11pm. I will get monday and wednesday off though. That means I would be able to do more stuff sunday and tuesday night and monday and wednesday all day at the college. I think I will end up doing more at the college as a commuter than Tina did all year when she had a dorm.

I am majoring in Digital Media. This is a broad field dealing with everything from music recording to webpage design. All of the classes cover things I am very interested in. Digital Photography, digital video, studio recording, visual presentation, webpage design; all things I have thought about going into specifically. Now I can take all of these classes and get a degree for it. Plus, mom is trying to start a church and I would be able to use everything I am learning at Greenville at her church.

I don't think this will be the last degree I get from Greenville. I think once I have some money saved up, I might go back to school for music. I know that there have been some stories about Greenville College, but Greenville is just like any other college. You find what you want to find at college. If you want to find the parties then you will find the parties. If you want to find the devout believers, you will find them.

Well, I better get ready for work. I have to be there at 1pm. I am so glad that I have everything done for me to start classes on wednesday. Had some snags, but everything fell into place at just the right time. I can definitely see God's hand in everything. I know for sure that I am doing what I am supposed to do.
